As a place to see beautiful cherry blossoms near Seoul, you can’t miss the Gapyeong Eden Cherry Blossom Road Cherry Blossom Festival. This is especially a great place to catch the last cherry blossom train because it is the place where cherry blossoms bloom the latest in Korea.

I was able to walk around on April 13th when I visited and got drenched in cherry blossom rain. If you’re interested, I recommend you visit next year.

One of the reasons why the Eden Cherry Blossom Road Cherry Blossom Festival is good is that there is ample parking space, so parking is convenient. Since the festival is so crowded, it is not uncommon for cars to get stuck or parking spaces to be lacking, but here, you don’t have to worry about that.

There are three parking lots, and if you use the third parking lot, you can go up while appreciating the beautiful cherry blossoms.

People’s expressions are bright like cherry blossoms. They are so happy to see the spring that has come after a long, cold winter. People walking along the cherry blossom road with their families, friends, and lovers have smiles on their faces.

The food zone sells a variety of foods. The tent is pink and the food sold includes cherry blossom popcorn, cherry blossom road kimbap, cherry blossom waffles, and other unique cherry blossom-themed menus, making it a feast for both the eyes and the mouth.

Please note that the entire cherry blossom festival area is a non-smoking area, and there is a smoking area next to the restroom. If you bring your dog, you must keep it on a leash (large dogs must wear a muzzle). However, please note that dogs are not allowed in the food zone, cherry blossom market, or performance hall.

This is an outdoor stage set up at the festival site. Here, you can enjoy performances by local artists from Gapyeong and orchestras. When I visited, there was a trot singer on stage, so I could feel the lively atmosphere.

Next to the food zone and stage, there is a flea market and a booth selling agricultural specialties. It is also fun to take a quick look around and take a look at the festival.

The cherry blossom road is even more beautiful because of the cherry blossom tree branches hanging down along the road. People are gathered in front of the photo zone to take commemorative photos.

There are lights installed between the cherry blossom trees, so you can see the beautiful cherry blossoms at night. I haven’t been there in the evening yet, but I think I should go next time when the lights are on.

The length of Gapyeong Eden Cherry Blossom Road is about 1.2km. If you take a leisurely stroll through the scenery of falling cherry blossom rain, you will no longer regret the cherry blossoms that will soon fall. You can fill your heart with the sparkling petals and look forward to this time next year.
